When I got my first dog at 22, I was clueless. Max, my border collie mix, was a tornado. He chewed everything, barked nonstop, and pulled me down the street on every walk. I tried everything — YouTube videos, library books, a local trainer who charged $150 a session.

Nothing worked consistently. The advice was scattered and contradictory. I felt like a failure, like I wasn't cut out for this.

"The problem wasn't Max. The problem was that nobody had given me a clear, organized system I could follow from day one."

That frustration pushed me to study dog behavior seriously. I got certified as a behavior specialist, volunteered at shelters, took on private clients, and eventually built a training system I could hand to any dog owner and know it would work.
